Gig Harbor Court was thrilled to announce the grand opening of its innovative memory care program, Connections, on Thursday, May 16.
The local community was invited to celebrate this occasion with a festive ribbon-cutting ceremony and a delightful cocktail hour featuring charcuterie, wine, and beer. Additionally, guests had the unique opportunity to experience Dementia Live®, a groundbreaking app that allows users to understand the world from the perspective of someone with dementia. The afternoon was filled with exciting activities, including a fun photo booth, lively music, and delicious food and drinks.
Gig Harbor Court incorporated local flair throughout the event to truly capture the local spirit of Gig Harbor. Picturesque imagery was on display, adding a touch of familiarity and comfort for residents and guests alike.

Gig Harbor Court believes in the power of community and invited its beloved neighbors to play a special and valued role in the grand opening. Guests were encouraged to bring items like scarves, old jewelry boxes, costume jewelry, or a sewing mannequin to contribute to one of the memory stations being established within the Connections program. These stations will be filled with meaningful objects that spark memories and create a sense of comfort and belonging for residents.
As Gig Harbor Court opened its doors to the community, they invited all to come together and be part of this special occasion.
