Magnolia Place of Roswell, a personal care and memory care community located at 655 Mansell Rd, Roswell, GA, recently helped a local boy feel appreciated on his birthday.
Austin has autism. He has experienced bullying at school and has been disappointed and hurt when no one showed up to celebrate his birthday in the past. This year, his family reached out for public support for Austin in the form of birthday cards to let him know others were thinking of him.
Residents and staff at Magnolia Place of Roswell were moved by Austin’s story and wanted to find a way to make him feel extra special. They came together to deliver a little bit of joy on Austin’s ninth birthday, September 14, 2022.
“We went up to visit Austin at his home for his birthday. We brought him a big yard sign, a birthday cake, and over 65 birthday cards with well-wishes from our residents!,” shares Shalya Collier, Sales Market Specialist.
“We were so pleased to have the opportunity to help make Austin’s birthday one to remember. We wanted him to know that we care about him,” she says.
