Embracing Connection: Fae’s Journey in Widows Social Groups

The Havens at Antelope Valley | Resident Sylvia celebrates 100
Fae is a fine example of the benefits of senior living for widows and widowers.

Fae embodies the spirit of resilience and independence, having celebrated her 100th birthday in March of 2024. She’s lived in The Havens at Antelope Valley since September of 2022 and prefers to keep her life story close to her heart.

Yet, her rich history speaks volumes through her actions and connections.

Engaging in social groups for widows and widowers is vital for maintaining a fulfilling life at her age. Fae’s regular participation at her Methodist Church and weekly bridge games at Crystal Aires Country Club illustrate her commitment to nurturing relationships with friends. Through these activities, she finds joy and companionship.

Prioritizing social interactions can significantly enrich life as we age. Senior living for widows and widowers in communities like ours opens doors to lasting friendships and shared experiences, empowering women like Fae. Her involvement in her community highlights how forming connections with others enhances her well-being and happiness.

About Fae
Fae’s husband, John, was a prominent real estate agent in the Antelope Valley. The couple looked forward to hosting a weekly poker game at their home. She still enjoys playing cards and is now into bridge.

This centenarian is lucky to have four children, seven grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren!
