The sun was shining brightly, and the temperature was warm on September 15. It was the perfect day for our donation-based outdoor yoga class in support of Alzheimer’s awareness and fundraising. We were thrilled with the turnout and incredibly grateful for the community support.
Meet Our Yoga Instructor, Heather
This rejuvenating and mindful yoga class was led by Heather Prindle. She’s been sharing the transformative practice of yoga for nearly a decade, guiding students in studios, gyms, festivals, and now, on our beautiful lawn!
With a passion for reaching all ages and abilities, Heather began her yoga journey after a series of athletic injuries that taught her the importance of slowing down, being present, and truly listening to her body. Her deep connection to athletes and gym-goers stems from her own athletic background, allowing her to resonate with and understand the needs of those she teaches.
Heather’s love for yoga extends beyond these settings; she finds great joy in leading one-on-one sessions and group classes for everyone, from children to seniors.
The “Donation of Your Choosing” Yoga Class
Residents and visitors dressed in purple gathered on the beautiful community grounds at The Landing on Sunday, September 15th at 10 a.m. The Landing at Queensbury provided healthy snacks and water; attendees brought their own mats and towels.
The event was a refreshing way to move our bodies, connect with others, and bring awareness to the Queensbury 2024 Alzheimer’s Walk, which is where the proceeds were donated. The funds will make a meaningful difference as we continue to raise money for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s.
Our Heartfelt Thanks
Thank you to all the attendees, supporters, and friends who helped make this event so special. And a big shoutout to Heather for teaching the class and guiding us through our yoga session. She is the best around, and we are so lucky to have her!
