Hi, I'm Jan,
the Executive Director for Castlewoods Place, and I have been serving seniors since 1998.
To me, serving seniors means making the most of their everyday lives. I love the closeness of the residents; they have a lot of similar interests, and most residents have actually been part of the local community for awhile.
I love that even during COVID, seniors all come together for worship service. It warms my heart to hear each one of them participate in singing old hymns. Any of the activities that make them smile — beanbag baseball, penny auctions, front porch gatherings, ice cream socials — are excellent. Speaking of food, I enjoy when our Dining Service Director has breakfast quesadillas!
