Pegasus Senior Living Finds New Ways to Interact Amid COVID-19

Finding ways to interact with others amid COVID-19 while still following the CDC’s social distancing guidelines is not easy. Our communities have been finding creative ways to foster an interactive environment while following the CDC’s guidelines. Now more than ever, we are proud to be a company that can offer seniors a way to connect no matter what!

Having Fun at Our Communities

  • The Courtyards at Mountain View in Denver, CO enlisted the help of a local musician to help bring joy to their residents. Musician Jon Wirtz held a private concert for our residents in the courtyard. Residents opened their windows and listened to Wirtz’s performance.
  • Parmer Woods at North Austin in TX coordinated Operation Cheer Up for their residents. On Friday, May 1st, family, friends, and volunteers showed up to the facility to decorate the residents’ windows with uplifting notes and paintings.
  • We may be social distancing, but Ridgmar Place in Fort Worth, TX did not let that stop them from hosting a socially distant yoga session for their residents.
  • When COVID-19 interfered with their original plans for Cinco de Mayo, Town Village of Leawood in KS improvised with a room-to-room margarita cart, a guacamole cooking class, and even a socially distant macarena dance class.
  • The Renaissance of Florence in Florence, AL arranged a way for children and grandchildren to still give their mothers a Mother’s Day card with their Operation Mother’s Day card collection box.
  • The residents at North Point Village in Spokane, WA participated in their own Kentucky Derby. North Point Village managers dressed up and raced around the track while residents drank mint juleps and wore festive hats!
  • The communal dining hall at South Hill Village in Spokane, WA is temporarily shut down. South Hill Village residents had no problem finding a new use for the dining hall… They now use it to play bingo!
  • At the Seasons of Reno in NV, our team members ensure residents stay connected with loved ones by hosting a letter writing party at the facility!
  • At Dunwoody Place in Atlanta, GA, the community has created an Old Fashioned FaceTime booth that allows loved ones to interact with residents through a window.
  • The Rivers at Puyallup in WA is providing children and grandchildren with a way to interact with their mothers and grandmothers on Mother’s Day. Family members were invited to participate in a Mother’s Day parade for their residents!
  • At Lakeview of Kirkland in WA, our residents celebrated May Day with a collaborative art project. Each resident colored their own page to create a beautiful poster.
  • The staff at Historic Roswell Place in GA is ensuring their residents continue to move with Hallway Aerobics classes.

The associates of Pegasus Senior Living are always thinking of new creative ways to interact with their residents, and they haven’t let COVID-19 stop them from finding ways to connect. If you are looking for interactive senior housing options at this time, contact us today!
