Lily is a senior hobbies fan, and we’re all Lily fans at Evergreen Place!

Born in 1924 in Rochester, NY, Lily has been a beloved member of our community for three years now. Her senior hobbies certainly keep Lily busy; she’s an inspiration to our residents and team members.

About Lily

Lily’s life has always centered around her family. She created a warm, loving home with her late husband, Henry, whom she affectionately called “Hank.” Together, they raised five children: Peter, Paul, Mary, Annette, and Roseann.

Today, Lily heads a large family with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren who visit her frequently at Evergreen Place. The bonds that Lily has strengthened throughout her life have become a source of joy and fulfillment, proving that family is the greatest treasure of all.

This soon-to-be centenarian was a dedicated worker at Taylor Instruments, where she operated on an assembly line. Balancing work with her responsibilities at home, she was a fantastic homemaker and enjoyed hobbies like sewing clothes and immersing herself in music.

Lily always found time for activities that brought her joy and fulfillment.

Devotion, Airplanes, and Microwaves

Another pivotal aspect of Lily’s life has been her unwavering faith. For her, practicing her faith is a fundamental part of her identity. She credits this devotion and the philosophy of “keep moving and keep laughing” for her incredible longevity.

When asked about the greatest technology she has experienced over the years, Lily’s final choice was the airplane. She acknowledged that the microwave has also made her life easier, coming in as a close second.

As we celebrate Lily’s 100th birthday, we are beyond pleased to have her as a resident senior. Hobbies at home kept her fulfilled back in the day, and she still enjoys a full activity calendar at Evergreen Place. We are grateful to have her as a part of our community and look forward to honoring her remarkable journey.
