Explaining Houston Senior Living
Wondering what the difference is between assisted living, senior living, and nursing homes in Houston? Find out now!
With endless day trips and outings, we love calling Houston, Texas home.
I’m Scott,
the Executive Director, and I have been serving seniors since 1991.
I was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and spent many years living in Fort Lauderdale, FL. I attended the “U” (University of Miami) for undergraduate studies and then received my master’s degree in health services administration from Nova Southeastern University.
I am married to my wonderful wife (who I first met in high school), and after 3 children and 3 grandchildren, we are still together after 29 years! I enjoy time with my family, playing golf, tinkering around on my guitar, and doing “honey-do-lists!”
I began my healthcare career/journey as a licensed nursing home administrator 33 years ago doing what I felt was my “calling” and what I was being led to do by a higher authority… taking care of our elders. I’m glad I listened! My passion and compassion for our residents, staff, and this industry is still burning as bright as it was the day I began my career. I have always said, “Our residents have worked hard, made sacrifices, and helped create a better world for me, my family, friends, associates, and the rest of our nation… they deserve and will receive the best care and services from our team, bar none… this will not be compromised.”
I look forward to getting to know you and your family at The Farrington!
Regards,
Scott Perlman

Meet Pegasus Landing of Tanglewood
Resident Ambassador
“I love everything at Pegasus Landing of Tanglewood. There is a family feeling here I just couldn’t ignore. I felt like I would never leave my own family but would be gaining a new one once I moved. The food was out of sight and so was the congeniality.
All in all, the care is impeccable! I’d ask a friend to move here because I want to share my good fortunes, and this is where I love and live.”

The Landing of Tanglewood is a great place for Mom. She moved here from Colorado and could not be happier. [The associate] and all of the staff were so helpful in this long distance move. The facilities are very nice and Mom loves watching the birds at the half dozen feeders in the garden area in the back. A full slate of activities rounds out the careful and caring manner in which the residents are treated. Give The Landing of Tanglewood the highest recommendation.”
