On July 9, 2024, Irene G.—a resident at The Gardens at Marysville —celebrated her 100th birthday!
Born on July 9, 1924, in Santa Rosa, CA, Irene has lived a remarkable life and is a beloved member of The Gardens at Marysville community. She moved into The Gardens at Marysville on February 11, 2023, and has since become an integral part of the community.
The community planned a festive birthday celebration for Irene, complete with cake, decorations, and entertainment. Residents and staff came together to shower Irene with love and well wishes.
“Irene is an inspiration to all of us at The Gardens at Marysville,” says Amanda Ankrom, Sales Director. “Reaching 100 years old is a remarkable achievement, and one we can all only hope for. We are so honored to celebrate this special milestone with her.”
About Irene
Irene and her late husband, Tom, were married for 65 years. Together, they had one child and are blessed with four grandchildren. Irene was a dedicated stay-at-home mom. She attributes her secret to longevity to healthy eating. She loves oil painting and solving jigsaw puzzles. Also, she believes that the microwave is the greatest technological invention so far.
