Hello, I'm Rebecca Missaghy,

the Executive Director at The Legacy at Long Meadow.

As a proud native of Lubbock, Texas, I grew up in a culturally rich Persian household where family was at the heart of everything. My nursing career spans 20 years, beginning with 15 years in a skilled nursing facility before joining The Legacy at Long Meadow over five years ago.

Starting as the Health and Wellness Director, I quickly advanced to Senior Health and Wellness Director and now serve as the Executive Director.

My journey in senior care is fueled by a deep passion for improving the quality of life for our residents. I believe in creating a community that feels like family, where each day is an opportunity to bring joy and support to everyone.

My father always said, “Enjoy life because life is sweet; you only get one chance.” I carry this philosophy into my leadership role, ensuring that The Legacy at Long Meadow is not just a place of care but a place of happiness and belonging.

Join us at The Legacy at Long Meadow. Together, we will create a nurturing environment that celebrates life in all its richness. I look forward to welcoming you and your family to our community soon.

Sincerely,
Rebecca Missaghy

What to Expect from Our Richmond Senior Living Community

Our assisted living and memory care community is located in the peaceful city of Richmond, just minutes away from the heart of Rosenberg. Residents thrive here, surrounded by a welcoming atmosphere perfect for pursuing hobbies and making lifelong friends.

Community residents enjoy participating in line dancing, baking clubs, and competitive card games in our spacious lounges. They also spend relaxing afternoons in the library or the on-site salon. We have the same fun as retirement communities in Richmond, TX, but we also offer additional support services.

Unlike active adult communities and independent living facilities that focus solely on socializing, our assisted living with memory care community extends an older adult’s independence by providing personalized support with daily activities. We look forward to getting to know you personally and understanding your goals. Residents can expect a hassle-free lifestyle surrounded by their best friends at a great value.

Where to Go and What to Do in Richmond, TX

We recognize that Richmond would not be a beautiful setting for senior living without the Indigenous people who cared for this land. The cultures of the Karankawa and Atakapa tribes improve our community.

Richmond has a rich cultural scene, to say the least. Its history and natural beauty are unparalleled. Unlike Richmond nursing homes, our community emphasizes active engagement and exploration.

Our assisted living residence is only minutes away from exciting attractions for older adults and their families. Our convenient transportation services allow you to enjoy everything life offers in and around Richmond. Become a resident and join us for extended trips and lunch throughout the Houston area.

Residents can enjoy visiting the Brazos Town Center, Sugar Land Town Square, and nearby local places, including George Ranch Historical Park, Fort Bend Museum, and the Historic Downtown Rosenberg. We love taking advantage of the free days for seniors at local art galleries, museums, and gardens.

Families See the Difference Between Us and Nursing Homes in Richmond, TX

- Family Member Google Review

My dad recently moved here after several very bad experiences at other facilities. Unlike many other facilities, we find this facility to be staffed appropriately for the number of residents and the care that needs to be given. The memory care residents can attend the assisted-living activities if they are able. They have a wonderful sports room upstairs with table tennis, darts, and many TVs. My dad is very happy here, and he enjoys playing table tennis while sitting in his wheelchair and listening to the Astros on TV. We are very grateful to have found The Legacy at Long Meadow and have comfort knowing my dad is there and being cared for with compassion and kindness!”
