Families Trust Our Alternative to Nursing Homes in Amarillo

My 82-year-old father is so happy here. When we were searching for an assisted living facility, we were impressed by several things about Legacy. The staff was all friendly and helpful. Most importantly, the residents were friendly and talked to us on our tour! My father had been living in a nursing home for 16 years after a series of strokes, and his facility said he really needed a place where he could be around people like him, where dementia patients were housed separately. So, having active residents who were mentally cognizant was important. Legacy’s nurse asked him about what he did for a living, his military service, activities he enjoyed, his family, and where he grew up. The other facility only asked about his conditions. Dad really liked that Legacy asked questions about him, not just his physical limitations.”
