Hi, I'm Laura,

the Executive Director for The Renaissance of Florence.

Welcome to one of the most respected senior communities in Alabama!

I have always felt connected to seniors, probably due to several factors, such as my mom being a nurse in a senior care setting for most of my life. I also spent much of my childhood with two loving grandparents.

Our Florence senior living community differs from others because it is like a large family. The residents, their loved ones, and team members are very close. I especially like our Christmas celebrations. When you can make a difference in a senior’s life or serve someone who has done so much for others, it means everything.

Thanks for taking the time to view our website. I hope you can participate in an in-person or virtual tour soon. If you’re looking for a senior community where you’ll be surrounded by people who care, we can’t wait to welcome you home.

Regards,
Laura Fithian

What to Expect from Our Florence Senior Living Community

Our senior community in Alabama is nestled in the charming town of Florence along the Tennessee River. Residents thrive here, with a beautiful backdrop for pursuing hobbies and making lifelong friends.

Residents take walks in gorgeous, award-winning gardens, play competitive card games with friends, and enjoy relaxing afternoons in the library.

Active adult communities and independent living facilities tend to focus solely on socializing. As an assisted living community, we also extend an older adult’s level of independence by providing personalized support with caring team members standing by. We look forward to knowing you personally and understanding your goals. Expect to live a hassle-free lifestyle, surrounded by your best friends.

Serving seniors is in our hearts.

Where to Go and What to Do in Florence, AL

USA Today said Florence is “the most picturesque small town in the State of Alabama.” We are in its principal city of “The Shoals,” where you’ll find Alabama southern living at its finest.

Our assisted living community is only minutes away from exciting attractions for older adults and their families. With our convenient transportation services, you can enjoy everything life offers in and around the Florence area. Become a resident and join us for extended trips throughout Alabama and Tennessee.

The city has a rich musical heritage, which seniors can explore at the W.C. Handy and Alabama Music Hall of Fame. There are many ways to engage in the arts in our area, from Arts Alive to the Helen Keller and Renaissance Festivals; our trips to the Frank Lloyd Wright Rosenbaum House are an inspiration for home decorating.
